Hello, my name is Cameron H. I enjoy the outside world. I just LOVE the rain, summer and definitely the outside. You know how boys like, I mean LOVE, to play video games. I don’t like to play video games much. Me, as myself, always wanted to drive a huge/big truck. I’ve always wanted to meet a professional truck driver. I play football for Glen Este Trojans. Summerside Elementary School is so awesome! The food at the cafeteria is so good. This is all I’m going to say. I really, really, really hope that you like it here.

What kinds of things do you haul in your truck? Hi, my name is Jason. I am ten and in the 4th grade at Summerside Elementary. I enjoy creating Lego Star Wars and collecting Star Wars figures. I also play football and basketball. I like potato skins, pizza, Chinese food, meat, soup, lasagna, tacos, quesadillas and chili con questo. Well, you get it. I like food. What’s your favorite place to eat at? I hope you have a great time on the road.
Sincerely,
Jason K.

Welcome Trucker Buddy
The Trucker Buddy class met for the first time after school on January 24, 2011 in room 29. This is the first time SEEC has offered this class at Summerside. The class has 16 students in grades 2-5. Both boys and girls make up our class. The students first assignment is to write a letter introducing themselves to our Trucker Buddy, Mr. Jerry Austin. Mr. Austin is an over the road trucker who specializes in hauling heavy loads across our country. The students and I have a lot of questions to ask Mr. Austin over the next 5 weeks. In addition to learning a lot about the trucking profession and life style, the class hopes to see a picture of Mr. Austin's big rig and map out where he is working in the United States. We have chosen to blog as a group instead of email since the blog is web based and Mr. Austin can access it anywhere there is an internet connection. The children plan to upload drawings and photos of our school and their community to the blog to share their job and location in an interesting format.
